Our journeys are each personal, but I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason and that we all have a unique mission to fulfil.
I hope you get a lot from reading my book - not only the funny and practical side of moving abroad, but also the deeper, spiritual awakenings experienced along the way.

Great Fun,

This review is from: Sol Searching (Paperback)
A down to earth account of a young girl upping the sticks to Spain on her own, full of entertaining and in some circumstances hilarious moments. A real good chicflick type book. Highly recommended.

Nostalgia for every expat in Spain!,
By RussBoy "RussBoy" (Tunbridge Wells) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sol Searching (Paperback)
I will confess to actually personally meeting the author of this book when I lived in Spain for a few years, and was told not long after returning to the UK that she was writing the book by a friend who fed me the expat gossip on a regular basis.
Now for those who have never lived in a foreign country, you need to consider this before reading the book: expats of all shapes and sizes, and of many nationalities are thrown together in communities in a foreign land and a new social order is created. It's like an episode of Eastenders (or Grange Hill) as people scramble up (or try to) the newly re-establishing social ladder. Keidi's book hit's the nail on the head by addressing this. It's no coincidence that the author's current partner who is referenced in the book, is Spanish and that's what gives the whole dialogue some 'balance'. It's not the ranting of a mad woman, but a carefully composed, more often than not amusing view of life on the Costa Del Sol through the eyes of somebody who knows both side of the coin and who embraces the REAL Spanish lifestyle. If you're looking for a book to read by the pool on holiday, or if you have lived overseas for a period of time with other expats at some point in your life, or if you just like a light hearted read, I'd throughly recommend this book.
