You will receive a kit for testing soil, promptly and for very small outlay, that might help in some situations. However, the colour coding of solutions has an unfortunate gradation for some soils, resulting in alkaline and acid soils of some strengths to come out in almost the same colour - and leaving you wondering which one you have.
But as it is cheap and does arrive promptly, your disappointment will not be great...
