The learning models for Trigonometry are unique. We have designed a suite of software applets for solving trigonometric problems which are used as the basis for studying Trigonometry. These applets, or Virtual Laboratories, are used to test and facilitate students' understanding. Many of Trigonometry's Virtual Laboratories are concerned with finding solutions to problems involving triangles and angles. They include two triangle solvers which allow you to use the sine rule, cosine rule, and trigonometric functions to solve triangle related problems. Note : this is the Home version, it is not licensed for use in schools, colleges or industry. The virtual laboratories on this CD are as follows: Arithmetic with deg-min-sec Deg-min-sec to degrees Right-angled triangle solver Trig. evaluator Substitution Degrees to radians The Cast diagram Finding angles from trig. graphs Triangle manipulator Any triangle solver Production of trig. graphs Plotting trig. graphs General form of a sinusoid Combination of sinusoids The Quadratic Formula Trig. identities There are 5 chapters in Trigonometry as follows: Right-angled Triangles: introduces trigonometry and its application to triangles. Theorem of Pythagoras; Ratios of Acute Angles; Inverse Functions; Solution of Right-angled Triangles; Angles of Elevation and Depression.
Angles of any Magnitude: looks at non-acute angles. Radians; Trig. Ratios of Any Angle; Reciprocal Functions; Angles of Any Magnitude 1; Angles of Any Magnitude 2.
Non-Right Angled Triangles: covers the theory needed to solve any triangle. Area of Any Triangle; Sine Rule; Cosine Rule; Further Problems. Graphs of Trig. Functions: trigonometric graphs and their relationship with trigonometric formulae.
Plotting Trig. Functions; Leading and Lagging, The General Form of a Sinusoid; Combination of Waveforms.
Identities & Equations: using identities to reduce trigonometric formulae. Trigonometric Identities; Trigonometric Equations; Further Equations.
