Format:Spiral-bound
I made my first amigurumi crocheted rabbit using this book and I'm chuffed with the results. Easy to follow instructions and clear pictures, both useful for inspiration and during the make stage where you go "eh how does that fit together?". (Note to crocheter's, this is an American book, with American crochet terminology). The book is quite simply, lovely, using different techniques, (sewing, felting, crochet, embroidery) so you can branch out and try new stuff. I have recommended it to my Knit and Knatter group and to the sister in law.

As I introduced myself in the world of softies I bought a few books and this is definetly my favourite one so far.
The book is neatly presented and every single toy in it has it's pattern (while most of the other books I've bought don't). The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the first pages explain the different stitches, fabrics and tools you can use. The stitches come with perfectly clear diagrams and that's another plus if you're beginning to sew (which was my case). You can also find some tips related to every project (ways to improve, let your imagination run or simply advice on the way to sew a certain fabric).
The projects are labelled with the difficulty level (easy-moderate-challenging) and if you're not a beginner you can still find some very interesting projects to improve your skills.
I would say if you're thinking about buying a book about softies I would recommend this particular one because it really helps you getting started with all the information needed.
Also it's a great gift for a crafty person :)

An excellent introduction to plush creations. Designs are easy to follow for beginners and experienced alike. The 'softies' are fabulously cute and inspiring! Money well spent.
