Ideal size for our small kitchen well made and easy to operate and clean, the tare facility to allow the adding of ingridents is handy and the large display easy to read, you can cahnge the unit of measurement very quickly. These are accurate unlike many others, best I have every had, it sits between the cook books on my work top

I've only owned these scales for 5 weeks, so far I've been delighted with them. I bought Soehnle, as I was told by the owner of an independent cook shop that they had the fewest returns (with faults) for them. The scales are compact and the weight of items registers quickly. The controls are straightforward, and the display figures are large enough to read easily. Some scales only weigh up to 3kg, these go up to 5kg. They were a bit more money than I had intended paying, but it certainly looks like they are going to be worth the extra.

These scales look great, the brushed metal top plate is just what I wanted, so often you buy something on line and it doesn't look the way you thought it was going to from looking at the photo. These scales have what is called 'Intelligent zero setting' it says in the small print on the back of the instructions, but for baking it's very acceptable and I'm happy with these scales. You have to be careful with this function, with some scales I've tried you end up adding twice as much salt as you think. There doesn't seem to be a way to set any auto off function which I haven't found yet, the instructions are minimal to say the least, but if they're like my last set of Soehnle scales they'll last for years.
