Sociology in Focus is a comprehensive textbook for 'A' level and higher education. It offers a fresh and innovative approach. Each chapter contains a range of interesting activities which allow you to apply and develop ideas from the preceeding text. This is a really good alternative to normal textbooks. this textbook is a 'must' for all sociology students.

I have just finished by exam's for sociology. I found this book useful. However, make sure you use it along side the specification for your course and your notes because often you have to shift through quite a lot of matereial within the book to get what you need.Within the book there are definitions boxes which I found really useful, especially for revision. I found this book useful, however it covers both the AQA and the OCR exam board so therefore there is going to be stuff ijn there which you dont need - like half the book! Its good for research but not ideal for revision.
