This is one of the key texts on the Social Work degree module on Social Policy. It is easy to read and understand, and so far ( not had it long) it has been very useful.

This book is part of the core reading for my 1st year Social Work Degree, A very informative book and relevant information, however it is not the easiest book to read but once you get going the information does stay with you. Alcock has also produced a book which is easy to have a quick 'look up' for information.
