Social Media - how do you know what your missing? That's what we call the UNK UNKS. The "unknown" "unknowns."
That was why I bought this book: to find NEW resources for LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook for my students. I teach Social Media online, and in San Francisco... But I am always worried I am missing out on the next big thing, the latest Social Media tool, that special hidden resource that will help my students better understand Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
This book is TOTALLY not that. It isn't a list of useful Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn resources AT ALL. It is, instead, a huge list of all sorts of companies and organizations and their own Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages. So if you want to find stamp sites and their social media... it's sort of helpful. Or find out that Whole Foods has a blog and a Twitter account. But is that very useful? Not so much.
If you are looking for resources on LinkedIn, Twitter, and/or Facebook - such as Facebook widgets, or how to identify the top Twitterers... this book doesn't work.
I research those (and publish them) for my online students. You can Google Jason McDonald plus SEO to find me, and if you know of some cool tools - let me know. This book, unfortunately, is not that.
