Malcolm Allison, brilliant coach, disastrous manager. This books gives a great insight into his thinking and coaching principles.

Anyone reading this purely as a coaching manual will find it dated, strangely written and lacking in illustrations, but in context of when it was written it is a groundbraeking and revealing analysis of the evolution of football training.

Probably not one for the casual reader, but if you are interested in coaching or the history of coaching, or indeed the development of football, and the enigma that was Malcolm Allison, then it is well worth a look.
