If you enjoyed Mozez's contributions to the 2 Zero 7 Masterworks Simple Things and When It Falls, you will love this.
Beautifully arranged, produced, written and most of all beautifully sung. The man has a voice. Stunning clarity and range. All the best bits of the vocal talents of D'Angelo, Maxwell and Marvin Gaye are here. This is not meant to demean Mozez as an individual, more to emphasize the sheer class that he possesses.
The overall feel of the album is a soulful folkiness that has a 21st Century slant, and sits easily alongside the efforts of Simple Things and When It Falls.
Blissful!

The first album i have listened to in the last five years that is so lyrically profound Mozez has crafted a great album that you need to listen to over and over again. However there are a few song that does not get to the level of the other.A number of the songs are saved by just brilliant vocals.
Mozez has a good thig going but could work on some areas of his music. There are good variations on this album that could appeal to diffrent people from the very acoustic So Still To the Very leftfield Take The Sun.He has managed to blend the old soul style with new ideas example Feel free.Mozez vocal ability is astounding.

One would expect Mozez's solo album to be much like his previous work with Zero 7, as the cover suggests but it's not. It's every bit as good, but the new sound is unique. The music is mellow and smooth but the vocals are more precise and crisp. In short, it's very Mozez.

If you like Zero 7 this will blow you away! I thought that it was the best album I had bought for a long time. Really chilled and beautiful. Mozezx is one to watch.
