Ruby Turner is an often over looked talent. She has released a steady stream of great albums over the years - each one will have at least 4 'blow you away' tracks with the rest being simply excellent.
I've seen her live many times back in the good old days of Ronnie Scotts where she was a regular headline act and more recently at other venues and she has the very rare ability to genuinely move you with her powerful, emotionally charged and destinctive voice.
On this new release, which she almost totally co-wrote, I challenge you not to love the remarkable 'Ain't cried in a long time' and the beautiful 'World upside down'
If you like genuinely great female vocalists who put music before superficial showmanship then I can't recommend Ruby Turner enough.

Loved this Cd - would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a great collection - Miss Turners voice is awsome - she is a great talent - only saw her once before with Jules Holland - loved her from her first sound - will go on to collect more of her great artistic music

Discovered Ruby Tuner on two of her albums as vinyl buys from charity shops within three weeks of one another. What amazing fortune! "So Amazing" became a compulsory buy and is not regretted and is played frequently. What a great voice Ruby Turner has - such soul! Thoroughly recommend this album for anyone's collection

I first heard Ruby Turner on telly at new year 2009 (shame on me) and her voice made me stop to listen. She has softness to sooth you and power to blow out the windows of your sitting room. This cd grows on me more each time that I play it. She is a class act. Really worth adding to your collection.
