Snowmen has been published on the occasion of The Air is on Fire, an exhibition devoted to the multifaceted visual art creations of David Lynch and presented at the Fondation Cartier in Paris. A respected writer and director, David Lynchs cinema work spans a period of 40 years. It includes films such as Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Drive. Following the projection of his last epic film, INLAND EMPIRE, he was awarded the Venice Film Festivals prestigious Golden Lion for lifetime achievement. His prolific visual art production, beginning even before his film work, has rarely been exhibited in art institutions or reproduced in book form.

This is a beautifully designed book containing David Lynch's not-quite-of-this-world snowmen photographs. Lynch completists will probably want it, but at 20 pages long for �10 it's something of an indulgence. If you're looking for a more comprehensive overview of Lynch's art then the catalogue of his Paris exhibition, The Air Is on Fire, is probably a better bet.
