A wonderful update on a fairytale favourite. A terrific way of introducing the 1920's in style and making you think about modern day dwarfs .. as jazzmen. Simply stunning artwork. I'm going to use this is school soon.

Picture books shouldn't be just reserved for Key Stage 1 children and this book is an excellent example of this. It is funny and I know that Key Stage 2 children (7-11 years olds) love this book as do I! It is a nice change from the traditional story of Snow White.

I loved this book, I used it with Y1/Y2 as a starting point for work which included geography- barnaby bear going to new york, DT- designing the dress, music- playing different instruments, listening to jazz music, art- drawing the different instruments, history- how people used to live/ dress Food tech- designing and making 'mock- tails' literacy- invitations and group work on planning an event (the wedding) fabulous book can't wait to use it again.
