Product Description
When a huge snowstorm causes chaos in a small North American town, the kids from the local school are ecstatic. All roads to the school are blocked, which gives 15-year-old Hal (Mark Webber) the opportunity to romance his dream girl, Claire (Emmanuele Chriqui). Meanwhile, ten-year-old Natalie (Zena Grey) is just happy to be cutting class for a day - but will she be able to prevent the town's maniacal snowploughman from clearing the routes?

A real "feelgood" coming of age teenage romance with a fair bit of enjoyable comedy thrown in, centred round a day off school because of heavy snow - the "snow day". Reccommended.

A charming family comedy centreing on a long-awaited snow day and the determination of the local children to prevent the snowploughman from ploughing the streets and making the kids go back to school the following day.
I should mention the focal points in the film which appear to be the romantic goals of the fifteen year old Hal for the most popular girl in the school and the feelings that his best (female) friend has for him. Added to which, the youngsters in the neighbourhood try to single-handedly ensure that they get a second snow day, with surprising methods used.
For me however, the magic of the film centres on the lead mum (Jean Smart) and her reconciliation to the fact that she just cannot go to work and must therefore spend time at home with her young son. She is the epitome of the executive mum which her weather-man husband (Chevy Chase) gently chides her for.
The key message of the film is that 'Anything can happen on a snow day', and this film really makes you want to believe that this is so.

A short but sweet film about a certain day in the year . A day parents dread but children cant wait for , Snow day . The day were anything could happen , the day were theres no school , no rules and no boundarys . Hal , a fifteen year old boy , has only one thing/ person on his mind ,the most popular girl in his school , whose name is clair .and would like to win her heart or maybe embarrass himself .
For ten year old Natalie ,snow day is a chance to have fun and also to not let this be the only snowday . It wouldn't be, if it wernt for the worst man in town , snowploughman . Natalie tries to stop this man ruin the day by using her best friends to help her
Hal finds out that Claire has a bully for a boyfriend who hal and claire dislike .Hal tries his hardest to try and make a friendship with claire by announcing it on the tv and Making a picture of a dolphin in snow .
Natalie and her friends finally change snowploughmans plans and Hal starts seeing someone but its not claire
I would defianately reccomennd this comedy/romantic to anyone who is in to this .

Snow Day DVD
My kids have always loved this film. And as with all Chevy Chase films - (Lampoons) they truly enjoyed watching it.
