best songs on the album are At the end of August, Bloodwork, Destroy the Map and Installing the Catheter.
Already lookin forward to the next 36 CF release.
BUY THIS ALBUM!!!
The album crashes in with "At the end of August" the first single, a crunchy upbeat metal number that sets the tone for the rest of the album. I was going to choose other stand out tracks but i just cant do it. Every track on this album fits perfectly and is brilliantly written and executed. There is none of the samey-ness that there was with the first album. Every track is distinctive in its own way and are certainly all dynamic and exciting.
Sound: Screams and a unique singing voice combined with fat metal basslines and crunchy, dynamic guitar and upbeat drumming. The production on this album is brilliant with every instrument being clear and precise. Brock's singing/screaming is never overpowering or understated.
Similar artists: If you like any kind of metallic hardcore such as Glassjaw, Poison the well, modern metal such as Deftones and Chimaira, post-hardcore such as Funeral FAF & Hurt Process, harcore such as Remembering Never & Norma Jean then buy this album!
There really is something to keep everyone happy on this album, its massivly heavy at points, upbeat, catchy, screamy, melodic and continues driving at a juggernaut pace until it finishes and you hit that play button again!
OK, i've managed to pick out a couple of tracks. Check out "the heart and the shape" fast, catchy and sure to send you bouncing about your room, "Kenai" heavy as fukk, "Skin & atmosphere" melodic yet grinding and "with nothing underneath" a song so heavy i smiled like a kid in a candy store when i first heard it! The tones on this album are only comparable to Deftones "Deftones" album. Every beat and riff is deep and rumbling.
I listen to metal, post-hardcore, hardcore, doom, noise-core etc. so i am a big metal fan. I can safely say 36CF are one of my favourite bands and that this album is a metal classic. One word .... 'perfect'.
Miss out at your own expense.
