WORKS WELL WHEN ABLE TO FOCUS ON TARGET AND KEEP THE UNIT STILL. PROBLEM USING IT IN THE WIND WHEN THE FLAG IS MOVING. IDEALLY WANT TO USE IT ON SOMETHING SOLID LIKE A ROOF OF A BUGGY/REST IT ON YOUR GOLF CART/BAG. FOR THE AMATUER, IT WILL DO ENOUGH TO GIVE EITHER AN ACCURATE GUIDE IF YOU CAN KEEP IT STILL OR A ROUGH GUIDE TO A BIGGER OBSTACLE. DON'T THINK IT WOULD GIVE YOU ANY IDEA OF A DRIVE LENGTH AS IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO KEEP IT STEADY TO PICK A BALL OUT AT 200YDS. FOR THE PRICE,IT DOES A JOB. AS THE MORE EXPENSIVE MODELS APPEAR SIMILAR IN SIZE AND FUNCTION, DON'T SPEND MORE THAN YOU NEED.

I ordered a Snooper Shotsaver S400 on the basis it had good reviews and was markedly cheaper than a Bushnell Tour V2. Delivery was prompt. It was described as having 'Pin-seeker' capability. However, on my practice area it proved unable to find the distance to a flag 35yrds away - my friend's Bushnell had no trouble. We both tried both devices - it was a device not a user issue. I returned mine and have spent the additional cash required to purchase a Bushnell.

Snooper Shotsaver S400 Laser Range Finder - Black, SmallThis is an excellent laser range finder at half the price of the bigger branded names. It performs extremely well and gives very quick, accurate readings within seconds. Like all range finders, you sometimes have to take a couple of readings if there are trees behind the pin. As a single figure handicap player I was always a little sceptical about these sort of devices, now I am won over, it saves me shots every round and is worth its weight in gold. No need to pay extra for a Bushnell, this does everything they do just as well. I'd recommend you buy a couple of spare batteries at the same time as ordering this.
