4.0 out of 5 stars Precious little guide 11 Sep 2012
By Stef75
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I purchased this little book as a gift for a friend after I bought it for myself. It's a good little introduction to many champagne houses, both well known and less so. Unfortunately the information on individual houses/producers is far too succint to deliver any real knowledge about background, history, and - more importantly - what the wines taste like. However, what I found really valuable is the little "In the Details" or "Words from the Wise" sections which spring up all over the book; they provide precious information on many topics which are often disregarded, such as the perfect serving temperature, the stages of ageing, how different blends affect the wines, etc. Really worth adding it to your cart!

Interesting pink book with some pictures in it. Haven't finished reading it yet though. But the author definitely knows what he is talking about.
