I bought this to do a particular job, take the weight off my camera bag, and also carry the camera safely without having to put it in the bag and keep taking it out again. The metal bearing at the bottom of the strap screws into the tripod socket underneath the camera, there is a plus and minus to this, firstly if you want to use a tripod, you will have to unscrew the bearing, on the other hand I use a monopod a lot, and by reversing the screw to a larger size it can screw into a second larger socket on the tripod plate without the need to unscrew the strap. As you would expect from anything made in Germany, the build quality is first class, the metal bearing rotates and weighs the strap to the side of the body. Highly recommended.

This strap fulfils a purpose but you should only invest if you are a serious photographer. There are other more reliable anti-theft measure to take that this very very expensive strap.

This makes carrying your camera much easier, if your thinking of buying one, get this one the quality is amazing it holds my D810 with a 70-200mm f2.8 lens that about 3kg, and it would easily hold twice that,
