Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 - Limited Edition

I Just received Sniper 2 Ghost Warrior limited Edition PC in the post from Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 - Limited Edition (PC DVD) It was originally suspose to arrive on the 3rd of January but it was put back. It was released last thursday the 14th of March. Anyway its uses the steam system, so stick in the cdkey into steam. It will you the most recent version of the game. The downloading took me around 1.5hrs. The only thing different between the standard version and this version is that you get an extra gun & play as Anderson (spotter in the single game) to use in the multiplayer mode.

On to the game. It uses the CryENGINE3 I found the graphics not much different from the previous version. It look good-ish but i cant help thinking why did they delay the game. (Official reason is to improve the graphics) I haven't noticed any real difference between this game and the previous version.

The gameplay is quite similar as well. There is the issue of forced to follow your spotter everywere, ie I cant seem to be able or allowed to take an alternate route to a point on the map. Now since I've only played about 40 minutes of it yet that may change. The AI is a bit dumber, I could about 10 meters away from them, shoot them and their partner in crime wouldn't be the wiser. At least with the last game the AI would wander over to your direction hoping to find you. The sniping itself is better, you halfto to be aware of the wind direction and its strength. It comes with night ops mode which I have only used once so far. On a whole the single player so far is the same as the previous version. I will continue to play it to the end.

On the Multiplayer, i found that in the pervious version Sniper Ghost warrior that i was damn hard and u can barely spot the other side. In this version its the same, Everyone is a sniper, and there seems to be only one gameplay, shoot or be shot! there is not capture of the flag, rush mode or any other modes. The match lasted for 15 minutes. I only played 1 game. You press the letter 'Y' to speak and 'U' to speak to only your team mates. Its irreverent really as your mates don't work as a team. There is no ranking system in the game and therefore no real sence of achivement if you do will in the multiplayer . Also from checking the web i hear that there will be a DLC released at the end of the month with some extra multiplayer maps and I think a single player map.

In Conclusion, the game is good if you like to sniping but also if you like to taken by the hand throught the single player gameplay. Its no call of duty or battlefield. It is made by 'City Interactive' which tend to make cheaper games. If you want to play the game I would suggest that you wait till the price drops.

Good Game, but too short. Good story line, enjoyed the game, graphics OK. Might play it again on 'hard' setting

I was expecting to play the game, on its arrival. No way. it had to be downloaded then uploaded, then it cost me £45.00 extra to install extra memory, I had to get a computer whizz kid to load it for me. Eventually after a weeks messing about, we got it to load and play. The introduction was all shaky, if you fail , it takes you back to the start, no save button. Worse game ive ever had.... Its back in its box.
