Mare Winningham stars as Jennifer Bradley, a mother suspected of spreading child pornography, in this true-life drama. It began innocently enough, with the Bradley children bouncing on their beds in their pyjamas, a scene captured on film by the kid's godmother. But the footage soon becomes the centre of a scandalous court case in which Mrs Bradley is accused of using her own children as pawns in a pornographic venture.

I bought this movie because the storyline is relevant to today's society. This is based on a true story (as are a lot of movies), a lot of you will recognise the scenario, busy mother of three energetic children. Mother's friend is a phtographer whom like a lot of photographer's take photo's of any occassion. When the friend comes to stay and the chldren wake her early one morning, she starts snapping away at the girls who are in their underwear at some point. Those photo's are subequently developed and the friend and mother find themselves on a charge of taking indecent photographs. In this time of hysteria about child pornography the question is asked exactly when does a photo become indecent?
This won't win any Oscars but it was a stab at a sensitive subject and the acting was adequate

This film, to me, was frightening. It tells the tale of how something so innocent as taking pictures of your godchildren can be turned into something sleazy, and something that almost broke up a entire family. Riveting viewing, and a good price, too.

Well acted presentation of a story based on real events. This horrendous true story is a great depiction of the risks of reactionary justice. The performances of Felicity Huffman and Mare Winningham ring absolutely true in this horrendous tale of two women wrongly accused of offences against children.
