Product Description
Snakeskins XL are the instant stuff sack for your Hennessy hammock. No more folding, rolling or stuffing your hammock in to a stuff sack. Your hammock won't ever touch the dirty ground.
Once you have fitted them on to your hammock they can stay on all the time, simply roll them up to either end when the hammock is in use and then back over the hammock to put it away and keep it clean and dry. See additional photos for step by step guide.
So what do our instructors think? Here Jo from Woodland Ways Bushcraft and Survival writes:
" I only purchased a set of these for myself just recently and I must say I am very impressed. They make the set up time much quicker because the fly sheet is already attached to the hammock and if its raining your hammock stays totally dry. Without the snake skins you have to set up the hammock first before attaching the fly sheet and (depending how long you take to do this..!) your hammock gets wet! With the snake skins on this doesn't happen. The snake skins themselves are also waterproof so you can store your hammock in them and tie it to the outside of your rucksack and they will stay dry!"
Advantages: Very easy to fit and use. Faster hammock set up time using snake skins, stops your hammock from getting wet if you are erecting it in the rain. Keeps your hammock clean as it never touches the ground. Snake skins are lightweight and waterproof.
Disadvantages: Hammock will not fit in the stuff sack supplied with a Hennessy hammock with the snake skins fitted.

These sleeves cover your hammock and make it easier to put up and pack away even in wet conditions. It states that the hammock no longer fits its stuff sack with them on, but we haven't found that to be the case. Excellent addition to the hammock - a pity they don't come as part of the hammock!
