From experience, there seems to be only one company that produces quality martial arts DVDs, and Eastern Heroes isn't it.
As with Spiritual Kung Fu, they have taken the PAN & SCAN verson of the movie (which already loses about 40% of the image) and they've ZOOMED IN ON IT. So where people think they are getting the original widescreen version that was filmed, they are actually getting less picture information that there is on the 4:3 video version. This is an absolute disgrace, as much of the action now seems to happen off the edge of the screen. The picture quality is also stunningly poor in places.
What was one of Jackie Chan's finest early martial arts films has now been reduced to something laughable. And with the original dubbing track, which is truly awful, and no subtitles, it's hard to think how this DVD could be any worse.
Take my advice - only buy from Hong Kong Legends. At least they treat the source material with respect.
