I found this anthology a fantastically fun seaside romp full of top-notch writing talent. Its overall feel is one of escapism into a wilder world outside the normal rules and constraints of society. The excellent quality of the writing allows the reader to fully immerse themselves in the settings and stories.
Although a few of the stories are set in more exotic locations, the theme of the British seaside runs through the book. It is one of slightly faded glory, often tacky, tatty or quaint, but full of opportunities for vivid imagery that speaks to all the senses. There are the smells of fish and chips and sun cream, the noise of the fairgrounds and arcades, the taste of ice cream and salty seawater, the feel of sand between the toes or waves in the face. For British readers, there's sure to be a touch of nostalgia for childhood holidays.
This is a real gem among erotic romance anthologies and I enjoyed escaping into its light-hearted world enormously.

The British seaside experience is portrayed oh so wonderfully in this anthology. These shorts made me feel as if the authors had bottled the essence of the seaside and delivered it to me in a smutty little package! I could almost taste the strawberry ice cream, and hear the buzz of electric from the dodgems.
Although I did have my favorite two stories--I'll never look at dodgems and ice cream in the same way again--all the stories in this anthology had merit. I heartily recommend a read if you fancy some smut down on the pier or a private ice cream tasting ;) One of my favorite summer reads this year.

All these stories made me grin. A good variety of styles and well-written. I'm sure there's got to be something here to appeal to everyone who likes a saucy read!

Partly inaccurate
The first story in this is silly in as much as iPhones are mentioned in a portion of the story long before they existed, also there is a part where one second the girl in the story... Read more
