Product Description

Product Description

Smuggler’s Haven is the second novel of the Legacy trilogy. In the fall of 1814, Captain Richard Tetrault finds himself trapped in New Orleans between the predatory schemes of Denis Delonde and the consuming lust of a woman who holds his loved ones hostage. His ship is confiscated and his crew imprisoned or scattered. In the household where she and Tara Kendall are well-kept prisoners, the privateer’s mother discovers an alarming face out of her past. Wounded, cornered, and angry, Richard is confronted with a pistol whose existence stuns him, for it lands him squarely in the midst of an old legend he has long rejected as nonsense.

The Legacy trilogy:

The Lady in the Locket
Smuggler’s Haven
Devil's Elbow

More About the Author

Nicole Margot Spencer was born in the United States in Washington, DC, raised three children in that area, and subsequently relocated to the American west. She currently lives in a small town in the White Mountains of Arizona.

She has written all her life and is a lover of history, of future possibilites, and of novels that take you away to speculative eras. Her Legacy trilogy, which includes The Lady in the Locket, Smuggler's Haven, and Devil's Elbow are set during the American War of 1812. Devil's Elbow will appear as a Kindle book in late February.

Exile's Bane is set during the English Civil War years of 1642-1644 in Lancashire, England. Possible future projects include a sequel to Exile's Bane.

The author is especially appreciative of the independent publishing opportunity Amazon Digital Publishing has offered to her and to many authors like her.

This is the 2nd book in the series. It got a little tedious to read in parts, but I was hooked after reading the first book. Do not skip this book as it gives a lot background for Book 3.

2.0 out of 5 stars What a waste... 2 July 2012
By DvusLeoGirl - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Richard and Tara are kept apart throughout this entire book. I wish I hadn't read the first one and gotten invested in the story. All three of these books could have been put together in one book. There is a lot of unnecessary information in this book, and it becomes tedious at times.
