Having recently enjoyed smoothies at my local fast food restaurant (their attempt to be healthy) I have to admit that my smoothie maker has come out of the cupboard. I looked at it for a long while then came to Amazon for some inspiration on how to use the darn thing!

I totally found it in this book. The author has a lovely style of writing. Easy to understand information with a chatty helpful explanation of the benefits of smoothies. The science is made comprehensible with graphs and simple to understand portion info that explains exactly what your 5 a day can look like.

The recipes are an absolute delight and cover the full spectrum of fruits and vegetables. There is truly something there for everyone.

A bonus section is the Ice pops recipes..great for the hot weather we are experiencing (in shock) here in the UK. The variety of recipes means that it doesn't matter which country you live in; you will find a good two dozen in season fruit/vegetable recipes you can try. This is not just for summer either you can stay healthy all year round with these recipes.

In summary; I highly recommend this book, it is by far the easiest and most doable smoothie recipe book I have found.

This is not just a collection of recipes, this book has a lot of information about healthy nutrition, portion sizes, and best practises when making smoothies (I've already managed to improve my 'smoothying' technique just by making one change mentioned in this book). The recipes themselves are absolutely delicious, and even better than most other smoothy books this one is PACKED with pictures, it's sooo much better when you can see what the finished product looks like before you pick a smoothy to make! Not all the smoothies have pictures though, but still this is my smoothy book of choice now!
