Lovely, lilting music to pass a quiet evening with 6 Jan 2010
By Cynthia Farr-weinfeld - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
My grandmother often told me the stories of how her parents, who came to America from Ireland in the early 1900s would host Irish dances in their apartment when they were newlyweds, complete with a fiddlers, accordion and tin whistle. My grandmother and her brothers learned how to dance an Irish jig when they were little and she taught me when I was little as well. So this music, much of which is traditional, brought me instantly to my imagined "memories" of my great-grandparents' dances. All of the songs are done so well and it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience! I highly recommend this CD.
