Let's get the ratings in perspective. A five-star rating, I would expect from a book that would change my life. As a huge fan of Robinson, especially Withnail and I and the Penman novel this is an excellent companion. He is viciously witty and astonishingly erudite. The only thing holding this back is that most people who read it will already be fans so there is a fair whack of preaching to the converted. It is worth every penny. Buy for a relative and spread the word of this much overlooked filmaker and writer.
