The Gentlemen are a four piece rock band hailing from Sheffield. Aged between 19 and 22, they have produced the most exciting new album from a Christian band for many years. Full of stinging guitar hooks, funky piano, charismatic vocals and mixed in with a great sense of humour, their sound is reminiscent of mainstream bands such as The Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks and Hard-Fi but with an individual touch that's all their own. Absolutely fantastic album, begins with The Gentleman's well known song 'Electricity' and it doesn't disappoint. This song has energy in bucket loads and will have you dancing and singing in the mirror before you know it.
From this song on, the album continues to keep its upbeat and lively attitude with such songs as 'Forgiveness' and 'I'm Not Leaving'. The Gentlemen are also supprisingly not just face value Sheffield lads following in the footsteps of Arctic Monkeys; for those feeling this is who they are, you will be gladly mistaken. A few songs not only show potential to be rising hits such as 'Course Of True Love' and 'My God You Are Beautiful', but show deep lyrics and meanings, not just jumping about in a recording studio such as 'Grateful' and 'Broken'.
Quite a number of songs also have a pleasant underlying of piano versus which tend to make you appreciate not only the magnificent vocals but the musical characteristics of these lads. Make sure you keep an eye out for the new album up and coming pretty soon, you'll regret it if you do.

I first heard of this band on MySpace and bought their album, I have since seen them live and you can't fault them. The album is full of amazing tracks; if you like indie, funk or alternative then you'll love them. The Gentlemen are a unique new sound that will have you dancing like an idiot round your bedroom! Buy this album and you'll not regret it.

This is just a brilliant album. Anyone that likes bands such as Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks or Arctic Monkeys with a good dose of Ben Folds thrown in for good measure, you won't be dissapointed. If you want to take a punt on a band that's on the way to big things, this is the one.
