Smelly Bill is back and it's a riotous adventure to accompany the first book, Smelly Bill. Daniel Postgate's brilliant illustrations along with his hilarious and wonderfully written rhyming text bring to life the story of the dog with a phobia of cleanliness. We also welcome the return of his old adversary, Great Aunt Bleach and this time, she's not alone. However, neither is Bill, whose gang of putrid pals is on hand to try and defeat the might of the shampoo brigade! Chaos ensues in this brilliantly funny sequel and my children adored this lively story. My eldest child is coming up for 9 but still loves this book. The opportunity for injesting fun and expression, not just with the narrative but with the speech, makes it a great choice for reluctant readers too. Sharing stories like this I believe helps children to get more fun and enthusiasm from reading. Congratulations on another success, Mr Daniel Postgate! Can't wait to find out what's in store for Bill in his 3rd outing, Love Stinks!
