Product Description

29 classic cuts as enthused over by The Cramps mainstays on the radio and in a host of interviews. Including surfing wipe outs, wild man rockabilly, crazed jungle misfits, honking saxophone and an attention to fashion sense. Deranged arrangements, dysfunctional lyrics and near the knuckle storylines of wild romance and wilder nights out with some swinging beats. Re-mastered with sleeve-notes by MOJO magazine s Dave Henderson

Exotika lounge/surreal fuzz out takes from outerthere lands of lizards, all reclining on their green leather backs, hotting up under the mid day sun after a night of excess all areas. Yellow eyes bulging staring into open spaces, clouded with opiated bliss, breathing to the rhythms of their piped up hookahs. All world collide into transluscent rainbows as the memories pop up for a replay to an eternal return,

These tracks plot suitcases of excess baggage scythed off from the world of squares and rectangles to bring you by their bare hands, an entry into other lands of Kizmiaz. Now slowly turned then reconfigured into ripening jazz grinders, big girls lost in their caves, whilst others feel the hot finger of her little boy, all teased and primed to bring a jolt to the nervous system at 3am in the morning. Whisper it into her ear "She's my witch as you press gently against an open door? Banging those drums and then getting down to business is another option.

Not primed V8 vintage rockabilly, but music from the other side of Kansas, as it gets onto its feet with Butcher Pete who likes to whack and smack it to the sounds of the beat. Honkin and Tonking to instro-mentals designed to get the body jitterbugging with loud brass banging across the room. Speeds up towards the middle and skips its beat to the end with a mixture of surreal boppers strollers and snarlers.

There are some rockabilly tunes but probably too few for the strollers, this is aimed at John Waters acolytes who live on the demented precipes of asurealophilia.

Ok complete but I'm not sure Lux and Ivy would have approved all of these!

Smells Like Sex! 12 Nov 2012

Been a fan of the Cramps fer a real long time, Pops, & heard a lot about their amazing record collection. So when I heard about this series of songz from the archives of Lux 'n' Ivy, I jumped at it. And, man, it's even better than I imagined it would be! I have a pretty kool kollection myself, but there's plenty o' stuff here I DON'T have! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if ya dig offbeat & rare songs from the 50's & early sixties! It's like yer at a rekkid party thrown by Commando Lux & Mademoiselle Ivy & you (and a handful o' fun-lovin' yayhoos) are the only guests! (Hmmm, I wonder what's this purple liquid in the glass Lux just handed me . . .aw, what the heck, it's MY DREAM!) Enjoy, Kittenz 'n' Studz, your Life is about to be ELEVATED to the Land of Flipsville!!! Kidd Squidd

I could spend hours listening to tracks from Lux and Ivy's record collection. Many surprises within and also tunes that you may already be familiar with. Their tastes are broad and eclectic. Close your eyes and pretend that you are listening to A Mad Daddy radio show or a broadcast from WFMU. Gimme more!
