I was initially reluctant about this toy as it seems quite pricey for what is essentially a cardboard box. The castle was very easy to build and our rabbit Cookie was interested in it immediately. There are 4 drawbridges on the ground floor so you can choose how many ways in and out of the castle there are. We have two folded in so he has to push them to get inside, and two folded out, he uses the doors both ways. It is quite sturdy for something made of cardboard. Cookie has been in and out through several of the windows as well as the doors. He is altering some of the shapes and sizes of the windows to suit! He spends long periods of time playing in and around his castle and can often be heard scratching away in there with just a paw or his tail showing through one of the windows! I think it is a good toy from the point of view that it is natural to a rabbit to find dark places to hide and play. We have made it more fun by putting shredded paper on one of the floors and hiding his food in it, so he can dig and burrow away on the middle floor. This has taken his attention away from the skirting boards, and for that reason alone it has been worth the money. At the rate he is chewing it I think it will last about a month- any longer would surprise me but it seems the best value for play out of all the toys we have given him so far. I like that there is no tape or other dangers associated with giving a rabbit a cardboard box to play in. Cookie loves it, and it's great fun to watch him peering over the turrets and out of the various windows- you never know where his little face will appear next!

My pet rabbit, Frisky loves it!
He's a netherland dwarf and he's been having fun jumping through the holes in this castle. It was also good fun to put together for my sister and me.
He has no trouble jumping up the holes inside the building and can even jump in the big windows on the second floor from the ground. The only problem is he does not seem to want to go down the holes so we had to make one of the top windows bigger and put a pillow underneath it so he can get down that way from the top floor instead.
But other than that this castle has been so much fun for our pet rabbit and has been good entertainment for our family to watch him play in it too!

My 7 week old kitten loves this, she climbs in and out of the windows and up and down the floors. She's going to be devastated when she grows out of it.

Love this castle for my rats. Was easy enough to put together and keeps them entertained too. Only down side was the huge amount of packaging that it came in! There really isn't any need for that amount Amazon!

My buns LOVE hanging out and sleeping on the bottom floor of their castle--it's their favorite place to be. I had to cut two of the bottom doors off so that they would go in in the first place, but they are taking care of the other two themselves. To get them to explore the top levels, I placed little treats on the second and third floors--that got them up there pretty quickly, and now they go up regularly looking for a snack! The only "negative" comment I could have about this adorable and fun castle is that my buns like to jump up to the second floor through the window, and then out from the third floor windows...This is hysterical, but I will say that the top windows are quite small! They still manage to squeeze through for now (bunnies are amazing that way--like cats), but they are only five months old and I'm pretty sure they won't be able to do that for much longer. I foresee them just chewing the window openings to a bigger size, though, so no real problem. My rabbits recommend this castle 100%!

This is the second castle I have bought for my bunnies. I was a bit concerned at how long it would last, but the first one lasted 4 months before it finally collapsed due to being chewed just a little too much, so I was quite pleased. My rabbits are Dwarf Lops which are a medium sized breed and both easily fit through the windows. Provided a great place for them to snooze and feel safe, plus shelter from the sun.

My hamster has loads of fun in here, bought toys separate to go inside. Only issue is the windows are big with no cover so small animals would fall out. We cut upsome old vhs cases to use the plastic sleeves to cover the windows and prevent the hamster from falling out. I feel they should provide this to protect the animals using it. Probably not worth what they are charging but its good fun for my pet.

I have four rats and they can't get enough of it. We've had it six months ago, and while they've chewed all the doors off and eaten all the window frames it's still going strong. They enjoy climbing into the middle layer but not the top (I guess the middle layer is dark), and we regularly find them snoozing in the bottom.

I cannot recommend this toy enough.
