The trike has many good features for a growing child but at the age of 18 months, we have discovered a safety concern. When a child is too young to appreciate the importance of keeping his feet completely on the rest pedals, it is too easy for his foot to slide down off the pedal and become trapped between the wheel and pedal when the trike is being steered.
This has happened to our grandson and he sustained painful grazing on the back of his foot due to this incident.

Smart Trike Plus - Unisex
I bought this trike for my 10 month old granddaughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it, it was her favourite toy at Christmas and still is. When she is not riding on it she is lovingly examining it! I was impressed by the quality and strength of it, and thought that it was good value for money.

We bought this product from Amazon as it was cheaper by £16 than other retailers we researched. The Trike is easy to assemble (even if brute force is sometimes needed) and our 1yr old daughter absolutely loves it. My only problem with it is that the clutch does not work. It is supposed to stop the pedels going round when engaged but simply does not do this. This is the second trike we have had this issue with, so looks like a fault with the design. Otherwise, love it.
