If you should happen to buy one of these, you'll note that it says 'works in full sun'. And it does mean just that. A bright but cloudy day just does not cut it.
So here in the UK you will find it does work occasionally but when it does it's fine.
I'd get something more expensive if I were you. Solar power is a nice idea but, for the UK, perhaps something with a plug on it is a better bet.

Works in full sun - it has to be full sun directly on to the solar panel, which has to be positioned carefully. When it works it does produce a lot of bubbles but the pump is very noisy and it would be a problem in a small garden as you will hear the pump everywhere including in the next door garden.
It is a good product and will oxygenate a small pond on a bright sunny day when oxygen levels are depleted more.
