5.0 out of 5 stars Great light, great price 5 Nov 2009
I needed to replace my power hungry halogen light set but did not want to fork out over 50 for a front light. Wanted a light to see in the dark rural roads I ride around and this light does the trick perfectly and I got a bonus of a really bright rear light too! Great price, great performance, dont know why people would pay hundreds for front lights when you can pay a fraction for a light like this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really good lights 29 Nov 2009
By Chris

I bought these 4 weeks ago and they are the best bike lights I have ever had. They are exceedingly bright and the rear light is especially good. The fittings were simple to use and when my bike broke and was replaced 2 weeks later there were no problems moving them between bikes. I can't comment on battery life as they haven't run out yet. I also saw then on the high street at 2 retailers priced 10-15 more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great lights for commuting 17 Jan 2010
I bought these lights after hours of checking others out on the web and for the money they're brilliant. Bright enough to be confident riding in rush hour traffic, batteries last well and they're water-proof. Even after going head first into the local canal the other Sunday they still work!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, great lights! 4 Sep 2010
I was expecting these to be very good after all the over reviews I had read about them.

They do not disappoint.

Bright enough for cycling in complete darkness, and so easy to use.

Only slight problem was that the rear light was a little tricky to replace the batteries. The case was very stiff and not easy to get off. However, I would rather it was like that, than falling off every 5 minutes on the road.

I got these ones, because I thought that I shouldn't be cheap when it comes to lights, and my safety. Worth every penny.

Would buy again and recommend to a friend.

P.S, I have had them for a while now, and I also find the front light makes a great hand torch for when I walk to work in the winter!

4.0 out of 5 stars bright but thirsty 16 Feb 2010
rear light is exceptional, front light is focused but with a good spread to give adequate indication of peripheral vision on tracks at night. Only problem is the front light eats batteries, but that's a trade off against good vision, so no complaints really.

5.0 out of 5 stars How lights have improved! 27 Mar 2010
Verified Purchase
I bought this set to replace some SMART lights I've had for five years or so. The front light is sleeker than my old lights and gives a far brighter light than the older one. The rear light is simply stunning, bright enough to cast a red light on a sun lit wall on a bright sunny day, it is so bright no one will want to cycle behind you for long. The fittings are again an improvement over my older Smart lights and both lights are easy to remove when parked and quick to refit while staying on even on our badly potholed roads. The improvement over five years is very marked and shows Smart have been working hard in the intervening years.

Delivery was fast as expected from Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very highly recommended 27 July 2010
Verified Purchase
These lights are VERY BRIGHT!! Fantastic and well worth the extra money over the cheapest you can get. Have been using these lights around dusk time in flashing mode and people really notice you. Tonight I thought I'd find out why and parked my bike and walked 200m in either direction and looked back at the bike. There's no missing them, believe me! The front one was aimed on the floor 3m in front of the bike but even at 200m it was very striking. The side cut-outs on the light mean you can be seen from the side too. The rear one, pointing horizontal of course, was equally bright frankly. They arrived quickly and were easy to mount. What more can you want?

1.0 out of 5 stars the rear light is not weather proof 11 Nov 2010
Verified Purchase
A little over a month, and on Monday the rear light failed in a bit of rain, I only realised that had happened only after a car beeped at me, nearly hitting me. I assumed others hadn't followed instructions on the implementation of the rear light in the reviews I read prior to purchase. I think the chance of failure can be reduced if I get mud guards fitted to the bike, this was purely used on suburban roads, so nothing off road here, just main roads. I need a guaranteed rear light to work, the front light is good, but you're depending on the back to notify others of your presence on the road, in these darker nights and mornings. so one star.

I often see cyclists with lights so dim that it would hardly make them less visible if they didn't have them at all. Read more

Does what it says on the box. Bright and really flashy. Very safe if you cycle down lanes in the winter. Top item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Potential life saver!
Great value.

Very bright front and rear lights. Can buy extra clips if you have more than 1 bike...so it would be easy to use the lights on multiple bikes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Well designed, sturdy build, failed at 10 months old from water...
I was a little put off by the few poor reviews, but shouldn't have worried. Firstly the waterproofing, the front light has a thin black O ring that makes a good seal. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Front light cuts out....
Its a pretty dangerous light to use, as in the city you rely on this light more to be seen, than see - and you never know when it will cut out. Avoid
