A highly efficient piece of camping equipment which is suitable for Trekkers Hikers Kayakers Backpackers Bikers and all outdoors enthusiasts who need to keep their pack light. Also suitable for Car Camping and a Wilderness Survival Kit or Disaster Kit.This lightweight kettle fits neatly into a Rucksack or Backpack.
As there is no need to carry fuel these kettles will keep your pack light and save you money at the same time - never worry about running out of fuel again Using any naturally occuring solid fuel (sticks pine cones dry camel dung etc.) this kettle will operate perfectly well even in strong winds / storm and will bring 2 Mugs of water to a rolling boil within a matter of minutes. Add our Trekker Cook Set and Pot-Support to cook small amounts of food while and after your kettle boils. Please see our Accessories Category for these items.
If more hot water is required (this kettle will easily boil water quickly for a party of 4-6 people) simply refill the kettle and place it back on the fire base and re-fuel the chimney again. The kettle will be boiled again within a matter of minutes where water can be used for more hot drinks boil-in-the-bag bathing washing up etc.

probably the greatest hiking and camping tool ever made. This would be the last think I would take out of my pack to lighten the load!.
I boiled a pint of water within 5 minutes with a few sticks and pine cones that I collected along the way. I didn't need to rely on fuel I carried with me.
If you go rough country camping or hiking and want a civilised cup of tea of coffee along the way this should be your choice for boiling water. This would be come even more useful if you are using dehydrated foods!

I have three Kelly Kettles which I use under different circumstances, the large, the medium and this small, one pint kettle. I would award both the large and the small Kelly Kettles 5 stars. The large is more suited to permanent locations or for using from mobile transportation and when larger quantities of water are required, the 1 pint kettle is small and light enough to carry around on a back-pack but can provide adequate hot water for most requirements. It is easy to refill and continue heating water on an already kindled base.
The ratio of the height to the diameter of both the small and the large kettles creates an ideal "draw" of air to give good fuel combustion. I cannot say that of the medium, more squat, version. I have no problem with these aluminium kettles. Aluminium I consider to be the most suitable material to use for heating water.
The 1 pint Kelly Kettle is a very convenient and no nonsense product!

I recently purchased this marvellous piece of kit. No more need to carry about fuel in the form of gas canisters or mess about with spirit cookers.
This compact water-heating and food cooker is just the job for short excursions - over-night stays in the country or camping/picnics etc.
It burns practically anything - I tried pine cones, sticks and even dry japanese knotweed dry stems. The draft through the chimney draws the heat in the base up through the chimney, heating the water in the water-jacket and at the same time you can heat your food on the top using the accessories - pot, pan or remove the kettle part once water is hot and use the 'fire-base' with a grill over it. The water heats very quickly and once you get used to using it, you can keep a constant supply of hot water flowing by regulating the amount of fuel you burn.
