My son and I loved the follow up book (Small Knight & George & the Royal Chocolate Cake) that I bought this book too. Small Knight is set the task of fighting a fierce dragon, instead he meets George and takes him home. Fabulous books, well written and the illustrations are superb. There is consistency in structure between the two Small Knight books, which makes them tie together perfectly. My 17 month old wants them read to him repeatedly each day and I never get tired of them. When he has a tantrum, I just start reading one of them aloud and he comes and cuddles up next to me quielty and listens. Magic!

This book is great. It starts off with Mum and Dad Knight sending Small Knight off to fight a big Dragon. Small Knight doesn't even know what a dragon looks like but meets people on his way who have and gets scared only to bump into George a small friendly dragon and they become best of friends. The illustrations are great, you can see where Small Knight has travelled and see the footsteps of the large dragon. My son has had this for at least 3 years (now 6) and still enjoys it.

Excellent reading book. My daughter loves this one and the sequel Small Knight & George and the Special Chocolate Cake. We read them everynight! I think the illustrations are a big part of it. Thoroughly recommend these stories.
