The third album from this immensely popular band, led by guitar maestro John Etheridge. Inspired by Grappelli and Reinhardt but with an individual approach, originality, flair and virtuoso playing.
'Sweet Chorus' was born from the desire of John Etheridge to pay tribute to the great Stephane Grappelli, with whom he played with for many years. The band has existed for 10 years and this is their 3rd album. Material is drawn from a wide range of sources-not only the 'Hot Club' repertoire - but originals and tunes that are more contemporary. The group continues to feature legendary veteran guitar master John Etheridge, acclaimed violinist Chris Garrick and the propulsive groove of Dave Kelbie (rhythm guitar) and Andy Crowdy (bass). Beautifully executed - this album flows with a timeless and seamless swing, celebrating this immortal music.
