From the Author
My book writing has focused on personal finance. I always wanted to write a book about how to start and run a small business since it is such a great way to carve out a career you love. And, if you're fortunate and hard-working, you can build wealth too. More wealth has been created through entrepreneurial endeavors than through real estate or the stock market.
While I've successfully started and operated several small businesses and done much financial counseling work with small business owners, I sought a coauthor on this book who had tons of in the trenches, practical small business experience to draw upon.
Jim Schell is a four-time winner in the entrepreneurial world, a grizzled veteran and a down-to-earth, candid teacher.
I hope you have as much enjoyment reading this book and in your small business pursuits as we did in writing the book and in our small businesses.
