More About the Author

Andy first came across unintentionally hilarious website addresses in 2006 and quickly coined the word "Slurl" -- a combination of "slur" and URL -- to describe the phenomenon. Andy set up the Slurls website soon after to show off the latest URLs found either through his own efforts or submitted by visitors. His first book, Slurls: They Called Their Website WHAT?!, was published in 2010.

When not hunting for Slurls he works as a freelance software developer and writes his blog "Interwebology"

A hilarious read, with examples you'll find hard to believe. --Web Designer Magazine, August 2010

How funny can a book about domain names be? Fortunately it turns out that the answer is "quite" and Chief SLURLer Andy Geldman manages to throw in some genuine laughs as well as a few interesting facts and a Nathan Barley reference along the way. SLURLs makes a great causal read or gift for anyone with even a passing interest in Internet culture. --LatestGadgets.co.uk, 6 August 2010

One of the funniest books i have read in ages - had the whole family laughing out loud. I was going to buy this as a stocking filler but was too good to wait for December so have bought it as early birthday presents. Extremely well written book.

Some of the names are so obvious I was in stitches laughing. Well done to the author for writing something that can reach worldwide laughter! Well written, easy to read and light-hearted. This book is a great gift, even for the man/woman who has everything!
