i bought this for my 13 year old, pretty grown up step daughter, and when i told my other half the title, he thought it would be pretty wet and way to young for her. when i received it and read through it i thought it was fantastic!, some excellent ideas for stuff to make, parties to have, chow to cook etc.. i would highly recommend it for most girls that like to hang with friends and sometimes indulge in a spot of make and do, and if they dont normally do that kind of thing, this book would easily inspire them into creating all sorts. i think i might actually buy it again to keep at home for ideas of things to do and fun to be had (this is meant to sound un-whack and not famous-fivey as its not like that at all, but i can see this review sounds kinda cheesy! - the book isnt, honest - buy it!)

A fun but not that informative read 1 Aug 2003
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book ahd some interesting ideas for some parties, but none of them were that expanded upon. And many of the partis required a lot of planing and rely on decorating. One party suggested purchasing dry ice to use for speacial effects. Like any one can do that. All of the games suggested were just minor twists on old favorites. If you just want some simple jump start ideas, read this book. If you are looking for a party planner in a book, look somewhere else.

Great Slumber Party Book 16 Feb 2006
A Kid's Review - Published on
Format: Paperback
Crafty Girl- Slumber Parties was a great book. It came with fourteen different themes, recipes, invitations, and games. The book had some really unique ideas, such as Fashion Fantasia and Ariabian Night. It also gives movie and music recommendations for each theme. I thought they could have had more game ideas. It was mainly just twists on other games. My favorite themes are Slumber party in the Beauty Salon and Sweet Dreams. Jennifer really did a good job on the book. This is definitely a enjoyable book if you want a twist on the same boring sleepover. Read up and enjoy!

When I first got this book I read it over and over and over and never actually had a slumber party with one of the themes. I january I'm having a "Slumber Party in the Beauty Salon" Trust me, this book is a must-have for any slumber party hostess.
