This is a great cookbook, especially for three-quart (3,5 litre) slowcooker. The recipes ARE easy, step-by-step, and don't have endless lists of incredible ingredients. The balance is right, too, with a short and useful introduction to slow cooking, then an emphasis on soups and meat, poultry and vegetables - what most of us cook in a slow cooker, and only, thank goodness, a few desserts. It is all lavishly illustrated, and well laid out with a useful tip for each recipe. It's all ideal for the beginning slow cooker or those who want simple directions to produce tasty home food rather than exotic/gourmet tidbits.

I picked this up recently and am very pleased with it. Is packed full of modern and desirable dishes, have made the Gingered Beef with Bay so far and was lovely and rich.

Also agree it is easy to use, not to many weird ingredients!

The book is nicely laid out with a rather good looking section on desserts! Cant wait to try the coconut & lime rice pudding!

Is good to know you can use the slowcooker for more than beef casserole!

Good variation in food types covered eg soups, mains, desserts. Opened my eyes to what I could use my wee slowcooker for. However, recipes aren't that easy to flex to a smaller unit - a minor problem.
