This is the latest installment of the Fast track series. Tuesday has recently lost her Father to cancer, his loss has left her emotionally wrecked. She initially meets Diesel Lange at her Father's funneral. The second meeting is at Evan and Kendall's belated wedding reception, there is an immediate attraction between the two of them. The following day Diesel agrees to go the post wedding reception brunch with Tuesday, providing she returns the favour and goes with him to a church fund raising the following Saturday, where his aunt and uncle have set him up with a woman who has set her sights on him. After that they start to see each other more regularly.
This book is so much more enjoyable than the last one, Tuesday writes a blog that centres on the gossip which surrounds the track. She is loud, opinionated and feisty, whereas Diesel is a more laid back character, he too has had things tough, an accident has ended his racing career, so now he restores vintage racing cars. Diesel and Tuesday at first look seem polar opposites, but there is truth in the old saying that opposites attract. Tuesday has problems and does not handle well any issues that crop up, in fact her way of reacting to any given situation is a big problem between them. But their relationship is also very passionate, the love scenes are hot.I really liked the way the reader gets to see their relationship grow. We also get welcome updates on characters from previous books in this series, especially Evan and Kendall, who eventually get the answer to a question that was left open at the end of their book. This story is a very good read and is a massive improvement on the last one IMO. It is well written and well paced as always the characters have real depth, and the story draws the reader in, this is a real page turner, I especially loved the first two chapters where our two leads meet at the wedding reception it was laugh out loud funny really great. A very satisfying read. I would recommend you read the other books in this series first.
