Product Description

Product Description

Gaining a flat tyre on any journey will always prove to be a major inconvenience. The choices are generally restricted to the following: a.) Pull over and replace the flat tyre with your spare or b.) Continue driving with vibrations that result in an uncomfortable drive and unquestionable damage to expensive parts on your car.

However, this Slime repair compressor kit could be the solution to your problem without removing your tyre or waiting for a tow truck. The tyre sealant prevents the tyre from releasing air, whilst the compressor allows you to re-inflate the tyre. This whole process can take 15 minutes or less – minimising the inconvenience caused.

Since its founding in 1989, Slime has been committed to providing its customers with high quality and innovative tyre care products.

I had a slow leak that required reinflation every 2-3 days. I bought the complete kit & applied it as directed. That was 2 months ago & I haven't reinflated the tyre since - product works!
A couple of points:
1. You have to release all the air from the tyre before pouring in the sealant, so you do need a compressor handy to get back on the road. The compressor works well, is very compact and easy to stow.
2. The plastic valve removal tool in the kit is pretty well useless - you need a metal one, so if you buy the kit, I advise you buy one of the metal valve removal tools offered as well.
3. A car tyre needs the full bottle of sealant, so I would get an extra bottle. That's my next purchase.
4. Keep a rag or kitchen towels handy in case you spill. It washes off easily.

Happy motoring!

EC in Brechin.

I've just used the pump to reflate a flat tire on a merc vito with 17" wheels. No problem whatsoever. These are big tire and it got inflated in about 4 minutes. Like many others, very impressed with the compactness of the pump. Having had my spare wheel stolen, this is the next best thing to carry.

ps: the gauge on the pump is really good, very clear. There's a good length of cable to run from the power outlet.

I bought this because I'd already had a puncture previously and the AA recommended using "Slime" rather than the tyre repair that I was supplied by the car supplier. It doesn't render the tyre useless once you get your car to a tyre shop unlike the tyre weld stuff as it's water soluble when the tyres removed for repair, so for the price it costs this repair kit can save you a few pounds in the long run.

Looks great. Tremendous Service. My husband is very impressed. He drives a Hyundai Terracan a d the spare wheel is huge and bolted to the chassis of the vehicle underneath. Impossible to access in emergencies. So this kit is just what he wanted. Delighted. Many thanks

I haven't used the slime puncture repair liquid yet so the review is based on just the compressor.
The compressor is made from sturdy plastic and has a long enough power lead on it to reach all around my small hatchback easily. The air nozzle fits firmly to the tyre valve with minimum of leakage. The pressure gauge seems reasonably accurate perhaps +/- 10%. I inflated my tyre to 30psi using the inbuilt gauge, when I checked with a pencil gauge it was a little bit lower, about 29 psi.
I've used the compressor about 6 times now (10-15 mins a go) and it hasn't blown up yet, or shook itself to pieces. It's a little bit on the noisy side but these type always are in my experience.
So far so good....happy with purchase up to this point.

Update 30th July 2013 -
I've had the compressor a year now and although I haven't used the slime liquid yet, I'm happy to say that the compressor is still working (touch wood). It gets used perhaps once a week to top up the pressure on my front left tyre which has a leaky alloy and goes down over about a week. The compressor is still in good condition, working fine and hasn't shook itself to bits which happens with so many of these devices.
Long may it continue, hopefully.

In order to use this, you need to fully deflate the tyre. Then fill the liquid. You can only use the compressor for a maximum of 8 minutes otherwise the motor may burn out. You then need to wait 10 minutes. You can then finish the compression off.

Note that the pressure gauge pictured is not what you will receive, it will just be a generic BAR pressure gauge. This is confusing for UK motorists who are used to PSI.

So you will need to make a note of the BAR that your tyres require based on its PSI.

Not a great product with quite a long time until you are back on the road.

I have only used the compressor so far to adjust pressures and reinflate a tyre with a slow puncture. Worked very well

After deciding to replace the runflat tyres on my Mini with normal ones (for ride comfort), I needed to find a decent repair kit/inflator that was also small enough to not take up (valuable) space in the boot of the Mini, and didn't cost the £120 that BMW Mini want for their kit.
This fits the bill- there's a small cubby in the right hand of the boot that the storage bag fits perfectly in. The compressor also seems accurate and strong enough. Hopefully won't have to test the 'slime' part for a while! But by all accounts its good stuff.
