Slim's first book of illustrated novellas, 'The Albert Tales' - based on characters from his web-based cartoon series - appeared in September 2005. 'Albert Tales Too' was published March 2006; 'Albert The Third' was published August 2006 and was short listed for the $10,000 Blooker Prize in 2007.

A full length Albert Tale - 'Kryptos' - was published April 2007 and was followed up by the next book in the trilogy, 'Skriveners' (March 2008). 'Magikings' will follow at a later date.

Slim has also written 'Operation Brutus' (June 2007) - the first of his theatre novels (under the pen name of Stiofan McAtinney) - with 'Panto' being published in November 2008. 'Playas' was published in 2009 and more of this theatre series are in development.

Before becoming a writer Slim worked as a photo-journalist and for many years in a backstage capacity in theatre. He lives in an anomaly of Northumberland.
