And after all, isn't that what you want from a book like this? Years of weight creeping on meant that I could no longer get into clothes I like, and having done all the daft diets out there for the early part of my twenties, I was looking for something sensible and constructive. Not yet 2 months in and I have lost nearly a stone. The book leads you into your new "regime" very slowly and makes you think about why you want to lose weight and why your eating patterns are causing you to gain weight. Contrary to another review shown here, it is very simple (a triangle equates to 50 calories, that's all) and I feel confident that the final section on how to stay slim will be as effective as the rest of the book. There are no gimmicks here, just sensible guidelines to weight loss and healthy eating, so I would recommend this to anyone looking to lose weight and understand how to keep it off.

This book was bought by me because everytime I tried to diet all I lost was money out of my pocket. Never any weight. So I thought this might be another loss of money, BUT I WAS WRONG. Just by following the suggestions, and not some regimental regime, I lost weight and I am happy. Now when people ask what I eat, I say TRIANGLES.

Easy to use 8 Aug 2008

I have owned this book for years having picked it up in a charity shop. It is so easy to use and works on a system of triangles each worth 50 calories. You do have to watch the balance of triangles i.e work out the fat / carbohydrate / sugars content of various food but with modern packaging, this is not difficuilt. I use it in conjunction with my favourite meals cooking fat free when I can. Tandoori chicken made with 1% fat yougurt and no oil is just as good as the traditional method.
It is a great book helping you keep track of what you consume. I find that I loose 3 - 4lb per week on this system of weight loss. I do not like aerobics however and just substituite the suggested excersize by walking my dogs twice as far every day or going for a half hour swim.
If you enjoy creative cooking and being inventive, this is the book diet for you.
