Book Description

"Slices of Life" - an anthology of short stories and poems based on a reflection of life seen through the eyes of a young person.
Each of the stories and poems deal with: young love, old age, social networking and death with observant sensitivity. Much of what lies within the pages of this book will strike a chord with each reader.

"Paul's first collection has an interesting mix of topics and genres. Paul gets great pleasure from writing and I enjoy the quality of his work, his honesty and relevance."

Aled Lewis Evans

4.0 out of 5 stars a gentle and emotional journey. 24 Jan. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book contains a selection of poems that seem to show the emotional journey of the writer in life and in love. some of the poems are highly personal. Others anecdotes or slices of life as the title suggests. i think the book has resonance for young and old readers. Older readers will appreciate and remember some of the trials and tribulations of youth and younger readers will identify with the poems. I particularly liked The Companion having cats myself. there are also stories that intersperse which I really like a meritorious effort and a pleasant gentle read. To be recommended.
