Sleepy Hollow is a great read from start to finish with the added bonus of the original tale at the end. I saw the film when it was previewed and fell in love with the style which is perfectly relayed by Peter Lerangis in the novelisation. For me it helped that I had seen the film but it is not essential to be able to picture each chapters setting in your head. I love Tim burtons Unique directing style so if you liked sleepy hollow try Batman,Batman Returns, Edward scissor hands and the animation,Nightmare before Christmas. I loved this book and thought it was excellent value.

If you enjoyed the film and have read the original or want to then this is the book for you. There are more works of Washington Irving's but this was nice because it was the story of the film and it includes the original version. If you're not looking for anything heavy or too involved (remember Irving's work is from the 17-1800's) then this is perfect.

This book is more or less exactly the same as the film, and as I enjoyed the film so much it was just what i was hoping for. It has some subtle humour which really appealed to me and Ichabod's dry sense of humour raised a few laughs. Not too long, good storyline, perfect if you don't want a book that drones on with too many details.
