I have had this blanket for a week and it does work. It fits easily into a duvet cover. It warms up quickly and I find that, during early Winter nights, setting it at position 2 for 9 hours keeps the bed comfortably warm. It is, of course, capable of being set at much higher temperature settings. To date, I am happy with this purchase.

Having just moved into accommodation with no central heating, i was looking for something to keep me warm both in bed and on the sofa while watching TV in the cold winter evenings, without having too much weight to it. Also I wanted a duvet that kept me warm in all seasons, without having to mess about changing and storing summer and winter togs. I thought I'd found the perfect solution in the Sleepwell Luxury 100% Cotton Single Heated Duvet with Intelliheat Technology - but I hadn't.
If you sleep without fidgeting and don't have pets, then give it a try, but really fidget, like to snuggle into my duvet with some under me and my cat often joins me - this heated duvet doesn't sallow for any of that! Basically once on the bed the duvet has to remain flat with the electric cord hanging off the foot of the bed. The instructions say you can't fold it back, tuck it under you, or allow pets to sleep on it. I was very disappointed as it looked to promise so much.
Luckily, even though I had opened the packaging to find this information on the instructions inside, Amazon were happy to provide a full refund.

I bought this duvet with a little bit of doubt as i have already purchased some electric blankets both over and under style and found them to be a waste of money but after purchasing this item i am over the moon with it and would recomend it to anyone who is thinking of buying one you will not be sorry.
