Experimental Jazz, baby! Don't expect Kenny G, this is definitely not "smooth" - seemingly random but approaching beauty in a sort of Jackson Pollock sort of way. PLEASE read the titles of the tracks and keep them in mind while listening, it will greatly enhance the experience. Looking up the title of the 1st track is also recommended, as I'm sure most have no idea zugunruhe is actually an ornithological term! The only downside to me is the sometimes annoying horn spluttering. The drum and piano interplay is fantastic!

Listen with open ears and definitely an open mind.

Beware! This is not the group called Sleepthief. The album is named Sleepthief but it has nothing to do with the group by that name. It is experimental jazz and definitely an acquired taste, one that I have not acquired.
