The author hooked me into this story right from the start. Sophie hosted a talk show dating game and her on-going crush with her best friend's brother forced her to sabotage the production by organizing that her friend's brother be chosen as the winner. Except he found out and changed spots with a smarmy, love-sick loser who Sophie was now forced to share the glamorous romantic weekend she had planned with Lance in mind. Imagine everything in her suitcase chosen with the man she loved as her goal to seduce. Imagine Lance, at home, renovating her house and thinking of her lying in the arms of the creep he'd foisted on her. What a fun book! Rita Herron is a wonderful writer and her rich characters will keep you reading till the end.

Lance is single and happy to stay that way or so he thinks until his sister's best friend Sophie gets well and truly under his skin. He fights the growing attraction until he realises he needs to date her and treat her properly. Unfortunatley while Lance has been dealing with his commitment issues, Sophie hasn't been honest with him about her past. His brother Reid who likes Sophie's sister, Lucy, uncovers the secret and well and truly blows a gaping hole in the relationship. Does Lance want to get things back on track, can he? Things seem a bit clearer after a visit to his parents grave and he puts the demons of his past to bed. A gorgeous soppy romance story, loved it.
